The Greasy Wiener – Food Truck of the Week

You do have to give the folks behind The Greasy Wiener credit for truth in advertising. They don’t pretend that their dogs are elegant, healthy or especially cardio-friendly. They tell us, from the git-go, that their red hots are greasy – the way franks are supposed to be. Or as they like to say, “Loads of Fun…In a Bun.”

What kind of fun? Fun that includes the signature all-beef Greasy Wiener, with sautéed onions, mustard and a pickle – either regular or spicy as you wish. There’s also the Bacon Chili Cheesy, The Greasy Hippie (a veggie dog) and The Package Meal (a Greasy Wiener with fries and a drink). The guys behind the Weiner say they’ll be introducing a new product soon called an Iggy, but they won’t say what it is. However we feel pretty confident in predicting that…it will be greasy. It was a great day for The Greasy Wiener!

Our call for potential workers proved to be healthy and robust.  We received over 200 applications many of which were qualified workers. We opened up shop at The Urban Pet in Silverlake – thank you Urban Pet!
One after another Los Angelenos seeking work patiently made there way to Brian Rudaitis our “on board chef “and kitchen manager (more about Brian Rudaitis to come).
We are very excited about our new prospects and even more excited about building The Greasy Wiener team. Our business has been growing so why shouldn’t our team? Angelenos need jobs and perhaps the renaissance of food trucks may be one of the answers. One thing is for sure… more staff means more Wieners on the street! So, keep an eye on our schedule. We’re going to be adding more shifts. And for all of you late night Wiener eaters… Buckle up because the The Greasy Wiener Truck will be out on the streets dishing late night grub. Our mission is to serve everyone from late night party animals to sky high hipsters while trying to stop a Hollywood hangover one Wiener at a time. Stay cool Angelenos… It’s gonna be one hot summer.

We have been getting lot’s of requests from different office buildings to serve up hot tasty Wieners for lunch. We’d like nothing more than to serve em up! The Health Department requires us to have a letter from a business allowing our employees to use their bathroom.  If you’d like us to serve lunch simply email us and we’ll send you the letter.
